THE TRUTH ABOUT SANCTIONS
LIVING STANDARDS IN ZIMBABWE COULD BE LIFTED WITH THE STROKE OF A PEN!
The sanctions are significantly affecting the lives of ordinary Zimbabweans by:
- Cutting off foreign aid
- Discouraging tourism
- Stopping Zimbabweans from participating in international trade
- Restricting foreign investment into the Zimbabwean Economy
The sanctions on Zimbabwe are now hurting the lives of the people they were supposed to protect, and must be lifted now.
MORE HARM THAN GOOD
AUSTRALIAN SANCTIONS ARE DOING NO GOOD.
(i) They are past their use-by date, because the dictatorship of Robert Mugabe is long finished
(ii) Apart from Grace Mugabe, who has left Zimbabwe the five people still listed for sanction were removed from power in 2017, or helped remove Mugabe in 2017.
AUSTRALIAN SANCTIONS ARE JUST DOING HARM
(i) Sanctions stop foreign investment in the Zimbabwean economy
(ii) Sanctions have unintended consequences, such as discouraging tourism, and cutting off foreign aid.
(iii) Sanctions end up oppressing ordinary Zimbabweans.
